Keith "Pete" Elvin, 65, of Rockford died on February 6, 2022. Born October 6, 1956 in Dekalb; son of Donald and Mary Pauline (Hardesty) Elvin. Pete was employed as a truck driver for Riverside Trucking. He was truly the best friend that anyone could ask for. He'd give anyone in need the shirt off of his back. Pete was a simple man, he enjoyed riding UTV's, attending tractor pulls and tractor shows and loved listening to classic country music. Survived by children; Carrie (Justin Tracy) Elvin, Robert Elvin, Justin (Kelsey) Gazouski; grandchildren, Annabella Decampa, Carter Gazouski, Teagan Swanson; siblings, Edward "Eddie" (Marion) Elvin, John Elvin; friends, Dave and Cathy Eklund, David and Kim Eklund, Steven (Kris) Eklund; and special friend and former spouse, Kim Gazouski. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Elvin; and in-laws, Lowell Gazouski and Carolyn Uhlir. Memorial visitation on February 19, 2022 from 2 pm to 3 pm at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N. Main St. Rockford, followed by a memorial service at 3 pm.
