Kathie M. Keegan, 59 of Rockford, IL. peacefully passed away on Wednesday, the 5th of October. Born November 1, 1951 in Hayward, CA., to Robert and Evelyn (Richter) Keegan. Lifelong resident of the Illinois and Wisconsin area where she selflessly dedicated her life to caring for others. Survivors include beloved son, Shawn (Jessica) Keegan; grandson, Austin; granddaughter Addison; brother's Ken (Nancy) Keegan, Steve (Joyce) Keegan, sister Colleen Collins all of Rockford; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; brother, James (Jim) Keegan; grandparents, aunts and uncles. Per Kathie's request, cremation rites have been accorded and no public visitation or service is planned. Her family will be accepting friends wishing to pay their respects at her brother's home at 1315 Geneva Avenue on Sunday, October 16th from 2-4 PM.
