Always Remembered

Kasey Laree Wollitz, 22 of Rockford passed away on on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 9:00 p.m. after a long wait for a kidney transplant. Kasey was born on November 22, 1988 in Rockford, daughter of Ron Witherby and Michelle Wollitz. Kasey was beautiful on the inside and outside, she had a huge heart and was loved by her family and friends. She was recently baptized and had a passion to mentor pregnant teens. Her friends and family will greatly miss her beautiful smile. Part of Kasey is living on in others, as she was an organ donor. Kasey loved her friends, and spending time on facebook. She also enjoyed visiting her three beautiful daughters. She is survived by her parents, Ron (Julie) Witherby, Michelle (Daryl) Wollitz; children, Latrese Cooper, Lakayla Cooper, Arianna Garcia; siblings, Matthew (Holly), Kenny (Britton), Wayne (Tonya), Brian (Samantha), Devin; grandparents, Richard (Mary) Witherby, Terry (Sandy) McNaughton; nieces and nephews, Makayla, Troy, Travis, Thomas, Damien, Leilani, Isabelle, Ella; godparents, Jorge (Rev. Karla) Garcia, Fred (Joyce) Oakes; god-siblings, Ashley and Lindsey Hearn, Peyton Hearn-Williams; special friends, Brandon Hearn, Anthony James Cooper, Teresa Shields, Tiara Hackler, Christina Jackson. Preceded in death by Uncle T. The family wishes to thank Rockford Memorial Hospital ICU and Chaplain Derrick Hayes, Davita Dialysis, Dr. Micheal Robertson of Rockford Nephrology, Rev. Kenneth Copeland, Jannelle and Erich Buisker, and Maria Tuten.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church, 604 Salter Ave. Rockford. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Rev. K. Edward Copeland will officiate. Interment in Argyle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kasey's family. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
