Judith Eleanor Pultz, 74, of Kirkland, IL (formerly of Ocoee, FL and Streamwood, IL) passed away on March 3, 2018 at Northwestern Kishwaukee Hospital surrounded by family and in the arms of her daughter, Robyn. Born on February 11, 1944 in Los Angeles, CA; daughter of Everett and Eleanor Hasbrouck (nee Schryver). Judy grew up in Chicago, IL and attended Carter H. Harrison High School. Judy graduated from the Washington School of Art and Harper College. Judy just celebrated her 35th wedding anniversary with Frederick Pultz, the two of them having united in marriage on February 17, 1983. Judy was a talented artist, skilled in all types of media and pottery. She became so involved with producing hand made stoneware that she opened a pottery shop called, "Claze N Glaze." The shop's merchandise expanded until it became known as, "The Candle Shoppe," with an offshoot craft store called, "Stuck On Stamps." Her artistic talents were well appreciated and before long she opened 2 additional stores in Geneva, Illinois. After 15 years, Judy sold her stores and she and Fred retired to sunny Florida where they built there dream house with a tropical pool and lush tropical gardens to idle away their days.
Of her 2 children, Judy never hesitated to express her pride in both. She often talked of Neil's accomplishments as a naval officer and always expressed her delight with Robyn's incredible ability as a mother of 4 children; her precious grandchildren which she sparred no expense spoiling as only a loving grandmother could. Those 4 grandchildren were Judy's pride and joy. She loved to visit with each of them and have special 'Grammy Judy' time. She loved buying them books, taking them on vacations and giving that extra special gift they always wanted. Judy says her greatest achievement in life was becoming a great grandmother to her 7 beautiful great grandchildren who lovingly called her GiGi.
During retirement, when she wasn't traveling or cruising to exotic locales with Fred, her down time included digital scrap booking. She created many outstanding digital images she was encouraged to open a digital image and scrap book online store to share her work. In the recent years, she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles but her passion was crocheting and knitting. Always the artist, she would make hats with adorable embellishments for her great grandchildren and also premie and newborn hats she donated to local hospitals.
Survived by her husband, Fred; children, Neil (Supranee) Willmann of SiRacha, Thailand, Robyn (Joaquin Rojas) Burno of Kirkland, IL; grandchildren, Stephanie (Brandon) Ackley, Joseph Bayne, Chase Bayne, Noah Burno; great-grandchildren, Neelah, Teyla, Ronan, Selah, Sebastian, Titus and Ava; brothers, James (Tamara) Hasbrouck, Thomas Hasbrouck; many nieces and nephews, and her Cocker Spaniel, Shadow.
