Josephine M. Varalli, 89, of Rockford died March 25, 2013 in Lake Geneva, WI. She was born on December 19, 1923 in Rockford, daughter of Angelo and Angelina Turiciano. United in Marriage to Gerald Varalli on October 11, 1944. They were married for over 65 years. Josephine loved to read, travel and collect antiques. She is survived by her children, Celine (Tom) Powers of Grace Saline, TX, Alan Varalli of Sun Prairie, WI, Mark Varalli of Rockford, Lea (John) Borskie of Lake Geneva WI, Maria (David) Otfinoski of Chester, CT; 11 grandchildren, Michael Powers, Mara Leib, Mathew Powers, Andy Varalli, Amy Josten, Jessica Johnson, Jennifer Smith, Joia Goforth, John Cummings, Ben Otfinoski, Annie Otfinoski; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Mae (Harley) Doyle of Rockford, Nino (Joanne) Turiciano of Rockford; sister-in-law, Maria Turiciano of Albuquerque, NM, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Sam and Joseph Turiciano; sister, Sarah Vaughan; brother-in-law, Walter Vaughan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on April 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church; 1010 Ferguson Street Rockford.
