Beloved Son, Brother, Father, Fiancée and Friend

Joseph Lee White, 22, of Machesney Park, died on October 11, 2012 at 11:35 p.m. He was born on September 25, 1990 in Rockford, son of Tracy and Tammy (Young) White. Joey attended Harlem High School and obtained his GED from Rock Valley College. Joey participated in programs at Rockford MELD, and enjoyed his friendship with his mentor Darius Smith. He was a self-employed mover. He is survived by his parents; brothers, Mikel, Johnny, and Matthew White all of Machesney Park; fiancée, Sydney Staver of Harvard, and their beautiful children, Mariah and Landon White; uncles, Danny (Trina) Young of Rockford, Allan (Stephanie) Adkins of Machesney Park, Jeffrey (Joyce) White of Gillette, WY, Kelly White of Germany; numerous cousins, and lifelong best friend, Chris Phillips of Rockford. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents. A funeral service will be on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 343 Grand Ave. Loves Park. Rev. Dustin Lenz will officiate. Visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Cremation rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Joey's family.
