Jimmie Allen Keen, 58, of South Beloit died on July 15, 2022. Born June 22, 1964 in Fairfield; son of Elmo and Judith (Headlee) Keen. Graduate of Harlem High School, class of 1982. Jimmie was a skilled carpenter and member of Local 792. He owned Perfectionist Builders; and also worked beside his brothers at K&K Roofing and Keen Builders. He was an excellent provider with an unparalleled work ethic. Jimmie had a pleasant, easy way about him that attracted people to him. He loved spending time with family, including his grandkids who fondly referred to him as "Pop Pop". He was intelligent, knowledgeable and his "Walking Encyclopedia" of knowledge will be greatly missed by his family, along with his laughter, stories and jokes. Last September, he celebrated 10 years of sobriety, a loving decision that he made for his own health and for his extended family. Jimmie was a registered organ and tissue donor, a continuation of the caring and selfless way in which he lived his life. Survived by wife; Karen Sanders; children, Travis (Cloey) Keen, Cody (Kelsey) Sanders, Kayla (Jimmy) Frew; grandchildren, Maddisyn, Maycie, McKenna, Tate and Gunnar Allen, due to arrive December, 2022; mother, Judith Keen; siblings, Johnny (Nancy), David, and Danny (Jenny) Keen; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and father-in-law, Richard "Jim" Sanders. Predeceased by father, Elmo Keen; maternal and paternal grandparents and mother-in-law Sue "Honey" Sanders.
