Jerome "Jerry" F. Kosmatka, 70, of Rockford died May 24, 2022. Born June 19, 1951 in Chicago; son of Stanley and Lorraine (Mulsoff) Kosmatka. Jerome graduated from Maine East High School and obtained his Bachelor of Science from DeVry University. United in marriage to Lorena Sanchez on February 24, 1994 in DuPage County. Jerry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He liked fishing and spending time in nature. Survived by his wife, Lorena; children, Linda (Jeremy) Miller, Lisa Kosmatka, Leslie Kosmatka, Ruth Sanchez, Erick Kosmatka, Michelle (Justin Roman) Kosmatka; 8 grandchildren; siblings, Therese Warsaw, Cindy Jagger, Cathy Hanckie, and Stanley Kosmatka. Preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Laura Kosmatka. Memorial visitation on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m. Father William Wentink will officiate.
