Jennifer "Jenni" Louise Sadewater, 59, of Rockford, passed away on June 2, 2025, in Madison, Wisconsin. Born July 19, 1965, in Beloit, Wisconsin, Jenni was the beloved daughter of Everett and Merre L. (Robertson) Bennett.
A 1983 graduate of Hononegah High School, Jenni went on to earn her Associate of Arts degree from Rock Valley College and completed training at Altamore Cosmetology School. She found joy in caring for others-whether in the classroom during her time at Montessori Learning Care and Keith Country Day School, or later as a dedicated Home Care Aide with Addus Healthcare. Her compassion, humor, and sunny outlook brightened the lives of her clients and coworkers alike.
Jenni had an artist's soul and a caregiver's heart. She expressed herself beautifully through painting and crafting, often giving her artwork as heartfelt gifts. Her creativity extended into the kitchen, where she was known for her delicious homemade meals. She loved nothing more than gathering people around her table to share good food, laughter, and connection.
A lifelong animal lover, Jenni had a special gift for nurturing and rescuing animals in need. She never hesitated to open her heart-and often her home-to any creature that crossed her path. Her beloved dog, Everett, Amos and Sophie were her constant companion and source of comfort.
Jenni was also a loyal and loving friend. She cherished long conversations, whether in person or on the phone, and her warmth and empathy made others feel seen and loved. Her circle of lifelong friends was a testament to her generous spirit and unwavering loyalty. She was a proud friend of Bill W., and her journey inspired many.
Some of her happiest memories were made alongside her dad at the family cabin in Black River Falls. They loved driving the winding country roads together, spotting elk, deer, and Sandhill cranes, and savoring the peaceful rhythm of nature. Some of her happiest times were spending time and cooking meals with her dad at the Beloit Rifle Club.
Jenni's giving spirit continued even after her passing-through the generous gift of organ donation, she gave the precious gift of life to others. It was a final, beautiful reflection of how she lived: with compassion, selflessness, and love.
Jenni is survived by her loving parents, Everett and Merre Bennett; her sister, Audra (Mike) Freeze; nephew, Bennett (Natalia Paolini-Medina) Freeze; niece, Margaret (Timothy) Slabaugh; great-nephew, Roman Slaubaugh; uncle, Donald (Joan) Robertson; cousins, Mae Robertson, Kelli Robertson; dear friends, Lindsay (Tyler) Noel and Michelle Lyons; and her faithful fur baby, Everett.
Jenni approached life with curiosity and courage. She was always learning, always creating, and always caring. Her legacy is one of love, creativity, and connection-and she will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
