Jeffrey "Lumpy" Alan Harris, 50, of Rockford died October 27, 2021. Born October 17, 1971 in Rockford; son of Michael and Elizabeth (James) Harris. Graduate of Harlem High School. United in marriage to Rebecca Foster on March 22, 1997 at First Baptist Church of Machesney Park. Jeff was formerly employed at Muller Pinehurst Dairy, and the Bergners Distribution Center. Jeff's gruff appearance hid the heart of giant loving teddy bear. He was an amazing husband, loving dad and devoted 'grumpa'. Jeff was a hard worker and provider for his family. Weekends were a sacred time for the family, they spent them together and affectionately called them Harris Family Fun Days. Jeff was a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears. Survived by his wife; children, Meghan (Andrew Newman) Harris, Tyler Harris; grandson, Liam Newman; mother; siblings, Jannea James, Michael (Sara) Harris, Angie (Bill) Martin, Connie James; sisters-in-law, Amy (Daren) Breese, Jenny (Eric) Bergstrom numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty and Henry James, Marian Harris; father; uncles, Mike, Danny, Russ, Dale and Joe James; aunt, Nedra James; and nephew, Anthony Martin. Celebration of Life Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N. Main St. Rockford. Please wear Chicago Cubs or Bear's attire, to honor Jeff's wishes.
