James Edward MacTaggart, 62, of Rockford died December 9, 2023. Born July 10, 1961 in Cedar Rapids, IA; son of Clarence and Jean (Ohl) MacTaggart. Graduate of Rochelle Township High School, class of 1979. James attended Northern Illinois University. James enjoyed cooking and telling jokes. He was loved greatly by his family, and his presence will be missed. He held various jobs: cook, bartender, and electrical supply representative. Survived by his brothers: David (Connie), Chris (Barb), Thomas (Julie) MacTaggart; and nine nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Scott MacTaggart.
