James "Jimmy" Allen Sanders, 49, of Machesney Park died on May 28, 2022. Born November 27, 1972 in Rockford; son of Richard and Sue (DeMus) Sanders. Jimmy attended Harlem High School and was self-employed as a Carpenter for many years. United in marriage to Nicole Hammack on November 10, 2012 in Rockford. Jimmy had a huge heart, his charismatic personality meant that he never met a stranger. He truly lived his life to the fullest, followed all his dreams and reached many of his goals. It was common for him to ask his family and friends, "Has anyone told you that that they love you today? Because I sure do!" Survived by wife, Nicole; father, Jim Sanders; sisters, Mary (Todd) Collman, Karen (Jimmie Keen) Sanders; nieces and nephews, Cody (Kelsey Johnson) Sanders, Kayla (Jimmy Patch) Frew, Heather (Justin Knapper) Collman, Travis (Cloey Knight), Mykelti Weidman, Nathaniel Weidman; great-nieces, Maddisyn, Maycie, McKenna great-nephew Tate; mother-in-law, Lavonne Hammack, sister-in-law, Dayna Hammack; God Daughter, Kennedy Thompson, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; a circle of friends too many to list - his special friends know who they are; fur babies, Bing and Lola. Preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, mother, father-in-law, Larry Hammack, and fur babies, Zoose, Rexxy and Kilo. Visitation Friday, June 3, 2022 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N. Main St. Rockford. Please dress casually.
