Herbert "Herb" Dean Rosborough Jr., 58, of Rockford, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 4:17 AM Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a brief illness. Born February 22, 1953, in Rockford, IL. Son of Herbert "Dean" Sr. and Arlene Rosborough. Graduate of Guilford High School. He married Debbie Clinton on June 16, 1973. He was a world champion road racer. Herb originally owned and co-founded RC Auto & Truck Service from 1981-2007. He most recently worked as a carpenter and handy man. Member of Maywood Free Church where he served as sound technician. In life Herb enjoyed serving others, and continues to serve through his death as a Gift of Life donor. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his children, Sarah (Chris) Whelan, Herbert III (Anita) Rosborough, and Elizabeth Joy Rosborough; his 6 grandchildren and his sisters Diana Rosborough and Dawn (Craig) Rolander. He was predeceased by his parents. Memorial service at 2 PM Saturday, December 17, at Maywood Free Church, 3621 Samuelson Rd., with Dr. Tom Clinton officiating. Visitation will be 4:30 - 7pm Friday, December 16. Arrangements by Grace Funeral & Cremation Services.
