Helen Mary Herringer, 86, of South Beloit died on August 30, 2016 in Fair Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on April 26, 1930 in Chicago, daughter of Johannes and Hildegaard (Adler) Toede. Helen was passionate about horses; she was employed as a Horse Trainer at Insko Stables in South Beloit for over 30 years. She was a member of the Illinois Harness Horsemen Association. Helen was also formerly employed at the Super 8 in Beloit for several years. She had an excellent sense of humor, and always had a smile; even when faced with difficult health challenges. Survived by her daughter, Carol (Dan) Tanner of Beloit; son, Steven (Marla) Herringer of Rockton; grandson, Brandon Herringer of Belvidere; great-granddaughters, Keylee and Keira Herringer of Rockford; step-grandchildren, Morgan Anderson of Byron, and Nathan Anderson of Gypsum, CO. Helen's family is grateful to the staff of Fair Oaks and Beloit Regional Hospice for their compassionate care. A celebration of Helen's life is pending.
