Gus C. Winterland, 59, formerly of Monroe Center, IL passed away on September 10, 2025 after a brief, sudden illness. He was born on November 11, 1965 to Paul and Suzanne Winterland. He graduated from Stillman Valley High School, Class of 1983. Several years after high school Gus entered the boxing ring, where in the 1990s he became a three-time local Toughman Champion, competing under the name "Rotten Rudy." Beyond sports, Gus carried that same hardworking spirit into his career. He began with Roto-Rooter, where he learned the trade, and later started his own business, Rudy's Knockout Drain Service. He took pride in his work and helping others. Of all his accomplishments, his greatest pride was being a father. He leaves behind his three beautiful daughters, Grace, Alicia and Payton, who he affectionately referred to as his GAP. He is also survived by his beautiful grandson; Cash; parents ,Paul and Sue, and his sisters, Paula (Bill) Campbell and Holly (Roger) Hackenburg; nieces (Kaylee, Leslie, Hannah) and a nephew (Will).
