Grace Mae Easton, 94, of Rockford died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 6:30 a.m. at Crimson Pointe. She was born on October 26, 1918 in Belvidere. Daughter of George and Nina (Shattuck) Moore. Graduate of Belvidere High School. United in Marriage to John Easton on October 26, 1939 in Marengo. They were charter members of Christ Methodist Church in Rockford. Survived by her son, James (Janet) Easton of Rockton; son-in-law, Bob Dougherty of Rockford; grandchildren, Leslie (John) Solanick of Colorado, Chad (Tabatha) Dougherty of Rockton, Jeffrey (Laura) Easton of Rockford, Julie (Ryan) Winebaugh of Roscoe, John (Easton) of Rockford; and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Dougherty; husband, John; brothers, Herman, Russell and John Moore. A Graveside funeral service will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Shattuck's Grove Cemetery. Chaplain Carol Harrington will officiate.
