Gloria M. McCullough, 83, of Durand went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 6, 2013 at 2:43 p.m. She was born on January 26, 1929 in Durand. Daughter of Ernest and Emily "Fern" (Baxter) Damon. Graduated from Durand High School in 1946 and the Rockford Memorial Hospital LPN Program. Gloria married her high school sweetheart, Bill McCullough on February 1, 1947 in Rockford. She was employed as an LPN at Rockford Memorial Hospital and Rosecrance, and also worked for several other home health agencies. Gloria attended Life Church in Roscoe, and was very active in the Prayer and Healing Ministries. She also volunteered in the hospitality area and the bookstore. Survived by her children; Gary (Deb) McCullough of Andrews, TX, Alan (Victoria Hester) McCullough of Sacramento, CA, Kris (Don) McGarvey of Hiawatha, IA, Lisa (Paul) Youngblood of Durand, Tony (Kelley) McCullough of Lanark; grandchildren, Jonathan Hester-McCullough, Megan Hester-McCullough, David McGarvey, Sean McGarvey, Matthew Youngblood, Alexis Youngblood, Max McCullough, Morgan McCullough; sisters, Daisy Janser of Albuquerque, NM, Juanita (Jerry) Mulvain of Durand; brother-in-law, Daniel McCullough of Durand; preceded in death by her parents and husband Bill. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Life Church, 5910 Elevator Road, Roscoe. Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Life Church.
