Geraldine I. Prince, 84, of Freeport died on November 11, 2014 at 8:45 a.m. She was born on November 15, 1929 in Lena, daughter of Grover and Orpha (Wiley) Shippee. She attended Lena schools. United in marriage in February of 1954 to Bill J. Prince. Former owner of Band Box Cleaners in Belvidere. Survived by children, Michael (Gloria) Prince and Jackie (Dwight) Alton; 7 grandchildren; siblings; Virginia Haas, Elsie (Donald) Lobell, Lois Paulson, Orpha Schubert; numerous nieces; nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Robert Shippee, sisters; Ruth Engrahm, Sarah "Sue," Phillips and beloved pets, Pixie, Spunky and Shadow. Private family services will be held. Interment in Salem Cemetery in McConnell. Memorials may be made to Friends Forever Humane Society, 966 W Rudy Rd, Freeport, IL 61032 in Gerri's name.
