George "Meem" Calvin Hodges, 93, of Machesney Park died on October 15, 2021. Born July 4, 1928 in Beloit, WI; son of Kenneth and Blanch (Revis) Hodges. Formerly employed as a bookkeeper at Durgom Concrete Pipe, Pierce Agency and American Family Insurance. He enjoyed going out to eat with his friends, doing crossword puzzles, watching Western movies and reading. He also kept score for the Dodge City Toyota (Anderson Dodge) Baseball Team. Survived by children, Nancy (Dave) Lusz of Rockford, Phillip (Barbara) Hodges of South Beloit; grandchildren, Richard Bannister of Machesney Park, James (Kim) Bannister of Rockford, Kelly (Tim) Denk of Rockford; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Taylor, Allison, Caitlyn, Zachary, Wesley; brother, Ronald (Shirley) Hodges of Beloit, WI; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents; grandsons, Jason and Ronald Bannister. Visitation Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 12 pm to 1 pm. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N.
