Loved And Respected By All

Everett Harry Colbert, 92 of Leaf River died on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Byron. Everett was born on August 11, 1918 on the family farm where he resided throughout his entire life. Son of Harry and Helen (Moore) Colbert. Everett married Louise (Haselton) on August 30, 1942. He farmed his entire life in the Byron/Leaf River Area. Everett is survived by his wife Louise of Leaf River; children, Everett (Marlene) Colbert of Winnebago, Donna (Roger) Weber of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Brian Colbert, Brenda (Craig) Elliott, Stephanie (Brad) Shinn, Beth Weber, and Jennifer Weber; great-grandchildren, Alexzandra, Caitlin, Christian Colbert, Malachi, Makayla Shinn; and sister Emily (Jess) Tillet. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Everett's life will be held on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Heartland Community Church, 1280 South Alpine Rd. Rockford, with Pastor Gordy Smith officiating. Visitation begins one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment in St. Thomas Cemetery, Seward. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rock River Center, 215 W. Washington St. Oregon, IL 61061. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, Rockford is assisting the family with arrangements.
