Evan Robert Colie, 25, of Rockford; formerly of Marengo, died December 9, 2022. Born February 21, 1997 in Kansas City, MO; son of Darryl Colie and Bonnie Hahn. Graduate of Marengo Community High School. Formerly employed at Portillos. Evan's warm smile, sweet disposition and sense of humor will be missed by all who loved him. Evan loved nature, camping and fishing. He was into gaming, punk rock music and going to concerts. He had a passion for cooking and dreams of working in the field of culinary arts. He found so much joy in togetherness with his family and friends; most of all he cherished and adored his siblings with his whole heart. Survived by his father and step-mother, Darryl and Sara Colie; mother, Bonnie Hahn; siblings, Edward Odin Colie, Elijah Alexander Colie, Mazie Louetta Franklin, Miles Lawrence O'Malley; paternal grandparents, Vern and Carol Colie; Aunts, Trisha Lou (Bruce) McKendry, Pam Colie; uncles, Dan (Heather) Colie, Richard Lee (Amanda) Hahn, Nick (Valerie) Vejseli and bearded dragon, Krusty. Preceded in death by his infant brother, Lyle Shine Franklin and maternal grandparents, Darlene Lou Spoto and Lawrence Lee Hahn. A Celebration of Evan's life will be held after the holidays in McHenry County.
