Eugene Anton Pehowski, 85, of Rockford died on June 5, 2024. Born April 30, 1939 in Wausau, WI; son of William and Emily (Pasholk) Pehowski. United in marriage to Virginia Gorski on April 8, 1961. Gene was a Maintenance Welder for Chrysler, retiring after 35 years of employment. He was dedicated to his family, could fix anything and a talented problem solver. Gene loved camping and fishing locally and in Canada. He enjoyed tinkering with his John Deere tractors and equipment on his property. Survived by his wife, Virginia; daughter, Susan (Scott) Highland; daughter-in-law, Jamie Struif-Pehowski; and grandchildren, Gregory Highland, Adam Pehowski and Jenna Pehowski. Preceded in death by his sister, MaryAnn Brueggeman, parents; and son, Steven Pehowski. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial visitation, Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m; followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. on June 15, 2024 at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services; 4301 N. Main St. Rockford. Msgr. Steve Knox will officate.
