Esther "June" Hayes, 91, of Rockford died on October 9, 2015 in Presence St. Anne's Center. Born on February 25, 1924 in Decatur; daughter of Edward and Helen Koshinski. June moved to Rockford in 1936. June loved doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. In her younger years she was a renowned local roller skater. She worked at Hilander on Rural for 17 years, retiring in 1986. Survived by her daughter, Connie Robinson of Rockford; sons, Thomas Hayes and Robert Hayes; grandchildren, Christopher Robinson and Dawn (Steve) Robinson-Conti; great-grandchildren, Joshua Robinson, Anthony Conti, Brianna Conti; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; son Joseph Hayes, twin brother, Edward Koshinski Jr.; sister, Dorothy Page; partner, Jack Naill, and special friend, Al Bolton. Per June's wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care of America, 3815 N. Mulford #4 Rockford, IL 61114.
