Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Grandma the Great
Elaine F. (Badertscher-McBride) Rehfeld, 72, of Rockford, died on February 7, 2014 11:42 p.m. in her home. Born March 15, 1941 to Werner and Lois (Shaw) in Broadhead, WI. Formerly employed as a Machinist for several manufacturing companies and as a rape crisis counselor for 12 years. Survived by her husband of 27 years, Marvin; daughter, Colleen (Carmen Spinelli) Glodo of Belvidere; grandchildren, Amber (Luis) Saucedo of Rockford, Chelsea Glodo of Belvidere; she was "grandma the great" to her great-grandchildren Jonathan, Aiva, Abbie; 2 sisters, 1 brother; and many loving friends. Preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister and grandson AJ Glodo. A Celebration of Elaine's life will be on February 14, 2014 at noon at Heartland Community Church, 1280 South Alpine Rd. Rockford, with visitation from 10 am until the time of service. Pastor Gordy Smith will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
