Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather
Edward O. Pavlak, 83, longtime resident of the Rockford area passed away on July 24, 2012 at Provena St. Anne's Center. Edward was born November 5, 1928; son of Walter and Matilda Pavlak and the beloved husband of Marilyn Pavlak for fifty years. Edward grew up in Belvidere, after attending school he enlisted in the Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. Upon returning from service of his country, he began his life long career as a screw machinist. He was dedicated to his craft and exemplified superior workmanship. He transitioned his knowledge and pride in his work, to owning his own business. He and his wife Marilyn owned and operated Quickline Screw Machine Products in Loves Park for many years. Edward was later employed by American Shaft Company. Edward will be missed by all who knew this kind and generous man. He was known for his love of hunting, gardening and drives in the country. Edward will be forever remembered by his devoted children, Gregory (Melody), Matthew (Diane), Mary Galan, Dawn (Wendell) Adams, Victoria (Matthew) Voyles; numerous grandchildren; as well as many family and friends who were blessed to know him. Preceded in death by his parents, siblings; sons, Jeffrey and Leo, and son-in-law, Paul Galan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Avenue; Loves Park. Father John Evans will officiate.
