Edward B. Johnson, 74, of Rockford died on March 6, 2014 at 11:10 a.m. He was born on December 27, 1939, son of Harvey and Vera Johnson. Formerly employed as a truck driver for ABC Rapid Delivery of Belvidere. Past President of the Eagle's Club. Survived by his wife, Faye Knutson; sons, Bert (Theresa) Johnson, Robert (Louise) Johnson, and Bart (Cindy) Ferrell; daughter, Jeanette Johnson; step-children, Jeanine Brown, Curt Knipprath, Niki (Dan) Hedberg, Dale (Linda) Lester, Donald (Gayle) Lester, Dennis (Diane) Lester, Duane Lester, Nanette (Tim) Johnson; sister, Liz (Sam) Armato; brothers, Carl (Emma) Johnson, B.J. (Barb) Johnson; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his former wife Jody Johnson. Cremation rites will be accorded. Celebration of Life, Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Eagle's Club, 3829 11th Street, Rockford. Private interment at Arlington Memorial Park.
