Douglas Alan Gebhardt, 64, of Rockford died on Thursday, November 12, 2015 in SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born on July 19, 1951 in Rockford to Donald V. and Georgene Mae (Harmon) Gebhardt. Graduate of Guilford High School and attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Owner of Gebhardt Builders in Loves Park before going to Southern California in 1985 where he worked as a finish carpenter. Returned to Rockford in 1996. Survivors include his mother, Georgene; brother, Steve (Gail) all of Janesville; step-mother, Grace (Virgil) Gebhardt-Smith of Rockford; niece, Stephanie (Nick) Natale,; nephew, Christopher Gebhardt all of Janesville, WI.
