Douglas K. Bouton, 63, of Byron died on December 17, 2014 in Rockford Memorial Hospital. He was born October 21, 1951 in Harvey. Son of Robert and Margie (Boyer) Bouton. Doug attended Byron schools and was a graduate of Byron High School. In his younger years, he worked in his family's business at the Kelly Williamson Mobile in Byron. He was a friend of Bill W. Veteran of the United States Army. United in Marriage to Leslie Gouker on May 27, 1972 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Byron. Doug was a skilled Diesel Engine Rebuilder, and was formerly employed at D & W Garage, DES, Fischbach Diesel Inc. and Eighmy Equipment. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His greatest love was spending time in the circle of his family. Whether it was playing poker, relaxing around a campfire or fishing on the Rock River; Doug's family was his world. He was a huge NASCAR fan. Survived by his wife, Leslie; children, Nathan Bouton of Billings, MT, Katie (Justin) Bradford of Pinehurst, NC, Alex Bouton of Byron; grandchildren, Collin Bouton, Caroline Bradford; siblings, Steve (Sue) Bouton) of Oregon, Dan (Gloria) Bouton of Stillman Valley; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-laws, Carla Uhrmacher of Lincoln, NE, Susan (Philip) Friske of Rockford, and brother-in-law, Carl "Pete" Gouker Jr. of Rockford. Preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Carl and Loretta Gouker. Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., at Jarrett Prairie Center, 7993 North River Road Byron.
