Douglas "Doug" Bryan Reagan, 60, of Rockford, IL lost his battle to cancer on Friday May 26th, 2023. Doug was born on February 26, 1963 in Rockford, IL to Charles and Jean (Glover) Reagan. He was married to Kathryn "Kathy" Mousel on August 28th, 1982. They were blessed with one daughter, Emily Grace.

Doug was the beloved brother of Diane Shiflet and Randy (Vicki) Reagan. He was the much loved son-in-law of Milly (Vern) Mousel. The beloved brother-in-law of Gary Mousel, Ron (Dewyona) Mousel and Lisa Bruening. He was a loving uncle, great uncle and great-great uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Doug started out as a teenager working for Warner Furniture Refinishing Co. He then worked for Foxx Pools for a number of years. In 1991, Doug began his career doing underground cable replacement at Intren, formerly known as Trench-It. He ultimately retired in 2020 due to health reasons.

He was always very handy around the house, having learned many of his skills from his father. He really enjoyed spending time out in his work shop and was always very quick to help others with projects, such as building a deck for his in-laws. Doug was also known for his dry sense of humor and many pranks, which lightened any dark mood.

Doug is survived by his caring and loving wife, Kathy, his cherished daughter Emily, his siblings, his special mother-in-law, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents Charles and Jean Reagan, father-in-law Vern Mousel, and his sister-in-law Dewyona Mousel.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Mercy Health Hospital, Mercy Health Cancer/Infusion Center, Mercy Health Home Health (especially Cain RN) and Mercy Health Hospice (especially Alisha RN, Dawn RN, Janice RN, Jessica RN, Julia RN and Karen RN) for their excellent care and compassion.
