Dorothy Mavis Marsh, 92, of South Beloit died May 18, 2022. Born June 1, 1929 in Pax, WV; daughter of Earl and Icie (Treadway) Thompson. United in marriage to Charles Marsh on November 10, 1950. Dorothy was an incredibly loving and warm mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her homemade chicken & dumplings, fried apple pies, and cakes were legendary in her circle of family and friends. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling. Survived by children; Debra Holterhaus, Anna (John) Wegner, Michael (Dorothy) Marsh, Karen O'Reilly, Robert Marsh; grandchildren, Amy (Nick) McIntosh, Zack Holterhaus, Johnny (Moriah) Wegner, Kevin (Alyssa) Marsh, Chuck (Angela) Marsh, Jennifer (Dave) Sexton, David Marsh, Denny (Helen) O'Connell, Amanda (Brian Quindel) O'Reilly; several great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild on the way; niece, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, William Holterhaus; siblings, James Thompson, Dillard Thomson, Billy Thompson, Dawn Daniels and two half-siblings. Visitation, Monday May 23, 2022 from 3 pm to 5 pm at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N. Main St. Rockford.
