Dorothy Marie Jenkins, 73, of Rockford died on March 11, 2021. Born on August 25, 1947 in Rockford, daughter of Ellsworth "Hawkeye" and Marie (Cameron) Wright. Graduate of Stillman Valley High School class of 1965. United in marriage to Fred Jenkins on May 22, 1971. Formerly employed at Bowman Distribution, where she was a packer. Dorothy was a loving caretaker, outwardly focused and constantly meeting the needs of her friends and family. She was fondly called "Aunt Dodo" by her nieces and nephews. She loved visiting her extended family and connecting with them. She enjoyed going on road trips. Survived by her husband; children, Kimberly (James) Warkentien, Jeffrey (Jena) Jenkins; grandchildren, Shaylar, Shaylee, Jace, Frances, Maisy; great-grandchildren, Alaina, Bryson, Aleecia, Samara, Jacen, Shayden; siblings, Mary, Jim, Cindy, Gwendy; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, a circle of extended family; special friends, Linda and Frank Rawes, and longtime friend, Linda Jones Eiselstein. Preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Thomas Rainwater, daughter, Shelly Rainwater; siblings, Pearl, Kenneth 'Tony", Raymond "Willie", Ellsworth "Chuck" Jr., Richard "Rick", Daniel "Danny", and Theresa "Teda"; Memorial Visitation on Monday, March 22, 2021 from 10 am to 11 am followed by a celebration of life at 11 am at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N.
