Donna Knoll, 91, of Lindenwood died on February 6, 2015. She was born July 17, 1923 in Rochelle, Illinois. United in marriage to Roy Knoll on June 24, 1943; Roy and Donna celebrated their 69th Anniversary a few months before his passing on September 12, 2012. She was raised on her family farm during the Depression and served as a nurse's aide during WWII. She later worked by Roy's side on their family dairy farm where she assisted in all areas of the operation. Donna had a gentle spirit, and was genuinely a sweet and kind woman. She saw the best in everyone and never spoke negatively about people she encountered. She loved her family, and took great interest in her great-grandchildren and their activities. Donna relished every minute of living in the country, watching for birds and other wild life. She could often be found on her golf cart with a dog by her side looking at the flowers in her beautiful gardens. She is survived by her sons, John (Joane), Larry (Sharon) and Jim (Gloria) Knoll; 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Virginia Klegg, Coralie Guilford, Walter Beydler, and Charles Beylder. Celebration of Donna's Life will be on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 1340 South Alpine Rd. Rockford - at Colonial Village.
