Donald E. Richardson, 84, died on August 24, 2017 in Rockford. Born on June 19, 1933 in Shelbourne, IN; son of Porter and Bernice (Richardson) Burris. Served in the United States Army from 1953-1955. Donald retired from Sundstrand. He loved planting flowers, and spending time in his home that he helped build, by the creek. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle on cross country trips with his partner. Survived by his partner, Sherry "Sue" Havens; children, Donald Richardson Jr., Patrick (Anne) Richardson,; grandchildren, Michael, Kimberly and Ryan Richardson; great-grandson, Makyle Richardson; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Richardson. Preceded in death by his parents; sons, Christopher, Michael and Jamie Richardson and grandson, Matthew Richardson. Per Donald's wishes, no services will be held.
