Donald Eugene Kangas, 76, of Brodhead, WI died on February 17, 2015 in his home. Born on May 9, 1938 in Eveleth, MN, son of George and Ailie Kangas. He met the love of his life, Kathryn Goldsworthy on Valentine's Day in 1960, they were united in marriage on October 22, 1960. Donald retired from Beloit Corporation, where he was employed for 34 years. After retirement he spent much of his time on his hobby farm, with his wife Kathy by his side. They raised Belted Galloway cows, and tended to a small herd of other animals. Don was devoted to his faith, and his Lord Jesus Christ above all else. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. When he was physically able, he enjoyed hunting. Survived by his wife, Kathy; sons, Kevin Kangas of Michigan, Jon Kangas of South Carolina, Derek Kangas of Florida, and Brad Kangas of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Alex, Sarah, Marie; great-grandchildren, Michael and Liam; siblings, Arlene Selene, June Flannigan, Dale (Rose) Kangas, LeRoy (Annie) Kangas; sister-in-law, Lillian Kangas; special niece, Sandra Bozich; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Gordon and Charles Kangas. Memorial Service on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2336 Freeport Rd. Rockton.
