Diane Marie Yardley, 88, of Rockford died on January 13, 2026. Born June 17, 1937 in Rockford; daughter of Maxwell and Eula (Fellows) Dauenbaugh. Graduate of West High School, class of 1955. Diane was employed at Orput & Associates Architectural Firm as a Secretary. She obtained her Medical Transcription certification from Rock Valley College and retired from Rockford Clinic after 15 years of dedicated service as a Medical Transcriptionist. In her free time, Diane loved to tend to her flower garden. She also stayed up to date on current events, enjoyed reading, sewing, and collecting rocks in her younger years. She had a huge heart for all the animals that she owned over the years. Caring for her pets brought her joy. She volunteered her time at Rockford Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Room as a Pink Lady. Survived by her children, Laura (Thomas) Penwarden, Cathi (Steven) Nuelle, Christi (Carl) Richardson Sr., Shannon (Skip) Grow; grandchildren, Ryan Nuelle, Bethany Nuelle, Adrianna (Jake) Steiner, Austyn (Alaya) Terpstra, Levi Terpstra, Kaleb Richardson, Carl Richardson Jr.; and brother, Bill Damon. Preceded in death by her parents. Cremation rites accorded. Private family services will be held. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services assisted the family.
