Obituary

Delmar Dennis Lundin, 81, of Rockford went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 25, 2023. Born March 14, 1942 in Rockford; son of Wesley and Mildred (Gilbertson) Lundin. Graduate of Rockford East High School, class of 1960. United in marriage to Linda Lou Marean on October 19, 1963 at Salem Lutheran Church in Rockford. Dennis was formerly employed as a machine builder at WF & John Barnes, as a general maintenance worker at SwedishAmerican Hospital, and as a machine builder at Lamb Assembly, and Greenlee Textron. He finished his working career as a handyman. Dennis was a faithful, loving husband who was dedicated to his entire family. Dennis was highly skilled in mechanical repair and liked to tinker with things that needed tweaking and fixing. Former member of Salem Lutheran Church and attended Forest City Church, where he participated in the men's ministry. He enjoyed fishing and collecting currency in his free time. Survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Troy (Angela), Todd (Okeyma); grandchildren, Kyle (Laura), Blake, Chase, Eli and Noah Lundin; sister-in-law, Betty Lundin; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend, Jack (Mary Ann) Cradic. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Lundin. Visitation Friday, June 30, 2023 from 10 am to 11 am at Forest City Church, 1280 S. Alpine Rd.; followed by a funeral service at 11 am.
