Dennis "Denny" Lee Scace, 59, of Shirland died on September 9, 2012 in his home. He was born on March 16, 1953 in Rockford, son of Leland Scace. United in Marriage to Teresa "Terry" Sinnaeve on December 21, 1974. Survived by his wife, Terry of Shirland; daughters, Fawn (Ted Larsen) Scace of Machesney Park, Niki Scace of Shirland; grandchildren, Barbara Kylie Marie Eberley, Johnathan "Bug" Roy Lee Eberley, both of Shirland; father, Leland (Dawn) Scace of Shirland; siblings, LeeAnn Fonseca, and Joel Scace both of LA; Aunt, Cindy Shepherd of Roscoe; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Gervaise Sparhawk of Roscoe; as well as many close friends who have stood by his side. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Marlow Scace, Hazel and Judd Roberts; and step-mother, Lois Kelley. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 15, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at The Old Stone Church, 101 East Union Street, Rockton. Memorial Visitation from 1:00 until the time of the service. Officiant, Rev. Daniel J. Herman. Denny's family requests that you dress casually. Interment in Shirland Cemetery. Cremation rites will be accorded.
