Del Mette-Budzynski, 91 ½, of Rockford died on March 17, 2016 in Presence St. Anne's Center. Born on June 6, 1924 in Minnesota, daughter of Peter and Dorothy Resch. Del loved knitting, crocheting and oil painting. She was an excellent cook, and was known for her pot roast that she prepared in her special pan. She loved animals, especially Buck, Barney and Bear. Survived by children; Jerry (Peggy) Mette of Elk Grove Village, Carol (Sal) Oliveri of Hoffman Estates, David (Jan) Budzynski of Peoria, Judy (Bob) Stewart of Hoffman Estates, Jay (Laura) Budzynski of Roscoe; 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; sister, Dot (Loren) Alderman of Minnesota; and beloved dog Tyler "Sparky". Preceded in death by her parents; sons, Wayne and John Mette; first husband, Robert Mette in 1959, second husband, John S. Budzynski in 2007; sisters, Joan Efraimson and Pat Koch.
