Dawn Marie Wooley, 47, of Belvidere died on March 12, 2015. Born on June 14, 1967 in Joliet, daughter of Kenneth and Sheri (Kurtyak) Carlson. Prior to becoming a mom, Dawn was employed as a CNA. Dawn was a loving mother, who was truly devoted to the care of her girls. She enjoyed NASCAR and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Dawn enjoyed spending time with other Angel Moms, both online and in person. Survived by her mother, Sheri Kurtyak of Belvidere; children, Virginia, Anita and Faith Wooley of Belvidere; sister, Anne Carlson of Aurora; niece, Sarah Sloka of Aurora; nephew, Matthew Sloka of Aurora; partner, Paul Swanson of Belvidere; several family members on the Wooley side of the family; numerous friends and Angel moms. Preceded in death by her father, Kenneth; husband, David R. Wooley Sr. and infant son, David R. Wooley Jr. Graveside funeral service Friday, March 20, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Belvidere Cemetery, 11221 North Main Street, Belvidere. Rev. Richard Wang will officiate.
