David Anthony Lapour, 56, of Rockford, passed away on June 14, 2025. Born on July 30, 1968, in Rockford, he was the beloved son of Robert and Bonita (Stuen) Lapour.
A graduate of Rockford East High School, Class of 1986, Dave went on to become a dedicated member of IBEW Local 364. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Deborah Poynor, on December 25, 1991. Together they built a life full of laughter, shared passions, and love for their family.
Dave was happiest in the great outdoors-hunting, fishing, and spending time on the Rock River. He had a special fondness for cruising around town in his black 1984 T-top Mustang, a car he treasured. He was a skilled electrician who not only took pride in his work but also passed on his knowledge to his son, teaching him the ins and outs of the trade.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his son, Joshua Lapour; parents, Robert Lapour and Bonita Hendrix; brother, John Lapour; his loyal dog, Sparky; and many extended family members and friends who will miss his warmth, humor, and generous spirit.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3:30 p.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N. Main St., Rockford. Following the service, the family invites you to join them for a meal and time of fellowship.
