David Allen Greer, 52, of Rockford died on March 6, 2013. He was born on August 12, 1960 in Rockford, son of Jimmie and Frances (Collins) Greer. Graduate of Jefferson High School in 1978. Dave was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears Fan. He enjoyed playing golf and baseball. Dave was a talented and accomplished sales person in the area. Survived by his children, Jacob (Dayna) Greer, Jessica Greer, and their mother, Diane Greer; his first granddaughter who will be born in April; step-mother, Carole Greer all of Rockford; siblings, Dale (Carol) Greer, Teresa (Jeff) Johnson, Lisa (Terry) Huffman, Lois (George) Shattuck, Mark (Bronda) Greer, Jonathan (Kellie) Greer, Michael Cascio; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. A Memorial Service will be on March 13, 2013 at 12 p.m. at Heartland Church, 1280 South Alpine Rd. Rockford, with memorial visitation from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Pastor Gordy Smith will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Dave's family.
