Darrel Lowery, 70, Loves Park, IL joined his heavenly family April 30, 2015 with his wife of 50 years at his bedside. Darrel was born August 20, 1944 in Springfield, MO, son of Cleavan and Hazel Lowery. He married Sharon Hanks in 1964. He served his country in the United States Army. He spent over 30 years as a grocery salesman in Springfield, MO. He retired from Missourt State University in 2007. He loved restoring old cars and attending car shows and swap meets. His family was his priority. His wife was his soulmate. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren deeply. They were his world. He is survived by his wife Sharon; son Roger Lowery (Pornnatcha Kiratiwatanakij, future daughter-in-law), Harrison, AR; daughter Stephenie Dunbaugh (Sheldon), Loves Park, IL; granddaughter Sharon Williams, Loves Park, IL; grandson Jacob Lowery, Conway, AR; great grandchildren Lola Cuyler, Emeline Cuyler, Isaac Bailey, and Jonas Thomas; brothers Jim Lowery (Linda), Springfield, MO, Steve Lowery (Jo), Bois D'Arc, MO, and Bob Lowery, Springfield, MO; sister Elizabeth Munhollan (George), Springfield, MO; several nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Darrel. He is preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Tiffany Cuyler, and nieces Debbie Dougan and Tina Lowery. Grace Funeral and Cremation Services has graciously assisted the family. Services and interment will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetary, Springfield, MO at a later date.
