Crisantos Lopez, born July 4th, 1983, passed away unexpectedly on June 5th, 2022. Cris was trustworthy, fun loving, and was often found as grill master at family and friends' barbeques. He was a die-hard Bears fan, enjoyed bowling, darts, slots, and holiday cooking (especially the 4th of July). Above all, he deeply loved his 5 children. Cris cherished his family and treated friends like family. He will be greatly missed. He leaves behind children Karma, Kendra, RJ and their mother Lindsay Bailey, and Kayleena and Crisantos II and their mother Linda Ort and siblings: Felice (Ed), Isabella (Roy), Star (Chauncey), Jennifer, Gabriela, and Carlos. In addition, he has numerous nieces and nephews.
Crisantos, Cris, who is also known as Pee Wee, came from a large family. He had 5 sisters, and 1 brother. He graduated from YouthBuild and recently worked as a machinist with his brother Carlos. He loved his family and could always make you laugh. He was the life of the party and always looked for the good. He enjoyed holiday cooking and would take hours perfecting his Thanksgiving turkey. Now the 4th of July, he could not be topped. He wouldn't think twice about grilling out, which he had to have charcoal (Not a gas grill). Cris had quit the fireworks show entertaining neighbors, family, and friends alike. He truly loved having a good time.
Crisantos was loyal, faithful, real, and a down-to-earth kind of guy. He joked a lot, and would always catch you off guard with his "cheerio" "Gotcha" type gestures. He warms the hearts of all, and we will not be the same without him. The poem on our memorial card attests to him perfectly. Parts of it state, "When I leave don't cry for me" ....remember the pleasure my laughter gave you." Cris will be forever in our hearts.
