Christina Lynn Zentz, 48, of Rockford died on December 26, 2015 in Rockford. Born June 9, 1967 in Medford, WI, daughter of Dale and Judy (Yost) Lyons. Graduate of Belvidere High School. United in Marriage to Jeff Zentz on April 29, 1989 in Rockton. Loving daughter, wife, sister, and mother. World's greatest Nana! Chris was a very strong and brave woman who always had a smile on her face no matter what she was going through. She was always willing to help someone anyway she could. One of her favorite things was that she loved going on family vacations including Niagara Falls, Florida, Branson, and even just weekend trips to Wisconsin Dells, among many others. Anyone that met her instantly knew that her favorite person in the world was her grandson Hayden, just from the way she always talked about him. Jeff was the other light of her life, she was always so proud of everything he did for his family and their true love for each other was evident every single day. Her family truly meant the world to her, just as she still does to them. Chris will always be remembered for her true beauty, inside and out. A courageous and beautiful angel. Survived by husband, Jeff of Rockford; daughters, Nicole and Heather Zentz of Rockford; grandson, Hayden Zentz; parents Dale and Judy Lyons of Michigan; siblings, Mike (Regina) Strobach, Brenda (Dennis) Severson all of Belvidere, Peggy (Craig) Turnbow, and Steve Lyons all of Thornton, CO. Preceded in death by her sister, Renee Hagan. Celebration of Christina's life will be held on May 1, 2016 at Stonebridge Church, 406 N. Main Street, Rockford. Rev. Scott Nesse will officate.
