Chaney Ann Edwards, 41, of Madison, WI, passed away on November 3, 2026. Born on September 9, 1985, in Rockford; daughter of Steven and Suzanne (Davis) Podewils. She earned two associate degrees from Rock Valley College in 2009. Chaney was united in marriage to Daniel Edwards on October 31, 2011. She was employed as a Sales Support Representative for Netrix LLC.

Chaney had a wonderful imagination and a love for all creative things, whether she was bringing a costume to life, enjoying a favorite game, or planning another adventure, Chaney embraced the things that brought her joy. Chaney was a life long learner, and was especially interested in insects; she really loved spiders.

She lived by the shared family belief that, "If you don't have enough to share, you have too much." She lived generously and made sure her "enough" blessed her friends, family and made the world better where she could.

Survived by her husband, Daniel; parents, Steven and Suzanne; siblings, Erin (Joe) Gettler and Asha Rákosová; nephew, Joey Gettler; niece, Heidi Gettler; grandmother, Jeanne Davis; a circle of special friends; and her beloved cats, Eve, Chancie, and Esther. Preceded in death by her half-brother, Karl Podewils; grandparents, Lyle Davis, Robert and Lois Podewils and beloved cat, Needy.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2027 from 1 pm to 2 pm, followed by a celebration of life at 2 pm at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N. Main St. Rockford. Pastor Frank Langholf will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded.
