Chad Michael Peña, 30, of Rockford died on November 18, 2019. Born on November 27, 1988 in Rockford, son of Mario and Karen (Senatre) Peña. He attended St. Edward's Elementary School, Guilford High School and Baker College. He was a self-employed carpenter. Chad had a precious heart and loved making people smile and laugh. Carpentry was one of Chad's more recent interests, and like everything he put his hands on, he succeeded and did a wonderful job. His warm and caring heart is greatly missed by his family and circle of friends. Survived by his parents, Mario and Karen Peña; girlfriend, Alyssa Martin; siblings, Christina (Matthew) Liles Sr., Mario Peña, Ella Peña; nieces and nephews, Matthew Liles Jr., Christian Liles, Haley Liles, Allisyn Peña, Gracielyn Peña, Kenzilee Peña, Dennis Sanchez; uncles, Tony Senatre; very special Aunt, Kim (Tim) Hudson; aunts, Terry (Thorston) Borrmann, Alondra Mayo, Blanca Leal, Marilyn Peña; special cousins, Nick Senatre, Madison and Caleb Hudson; numerous other cousins and a circle of friends and extended family. Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Anthony and Ella Senatre and paternal grandparents, Abel and Amparo Loya and uncle Hugo Peña. Visitation November 22, 2019 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N. Main St. Rockford. Celebration of Life at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
