Loving Mother, Grandma
Carol L. Sievert, 73, of Rockford, died on August 27, 2013 in her home. She was born on March 16, 1940 in Freeport, daughter of Carl and Lola (Perry) Klett. Salutatorian of the 1957 class of Stockton High School, and graduate of Rockford Business College. She was employed for 40 years as an office manager at Arrow Line Products, and Alert Tubing Fabricators. United in marriage to Robert F. Sievert in 1961, together they had two children. She joined Court Street United Methodist Church in 1961. Carol loved her cats, and watching her beloved Chicago Cubs and Bears. Survived by her children, Linda (Fred) Sundstedt of Roscoe, Mark (Laurie) Sievert of Byron; step-son, Bob (Linda) Sievert of Lake Stevens, WA; grandchildren, Emily and Kelly Sundstedt, Rachel and Julia Sievert; brother, Keith (Judy) Klett of Danville; niece Sherry (Jim) Wheeler of Rossville, Brian (Karin) Klett, of Danville. Preceded in death by her parents, sister, Helen Klett and former husband. Funeral Service September 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Court Street United Methodist Church, 215 N. Court Street, Rockford, with visitation at 1 p.m. until the time of service. Rev. Calvin Culpepper will officiate. Interment in Scandinavian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary or Court Street United Methodist Church. Carol's family is thankful for the loving care provided by Michelle, DeDe, Jamie and the entire OSF Hospice team, as well as the care provided by Kim and Cathy from Peak Home Health Care.
