Britt-Marie Eima Knoblock (Fransson) (Graslie), 78, of Rockford; formerly of Lisle; went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 10, 2022. Born March 19, 1944 in Lund, Sweden; daughter of Ivan and Majken (Olsson) Fransson. Graduate of Bitburg High School, located on the United States Air Force Base in Bitburg, Germany. She immigrated to the United States at the age of 10 and was tremendously proud of her Swedish heritage. Former member of American Daughters of Sweden. United in marriage to David Knoblock on December 5, 1964 at First Baptist Church in Downers Grove. Britt-Marie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved Jesus and was a true example of His love here on earth. She was kind, generous, compassionate, and loving toward everyone she encountered. Her relationship with Christ was always at the forefront of her life. She worked as a lunch lady for 7 years at First Baptist Christian School in Downers Grove, where she was formerly a member of First Baptist Church. Britt-Marie babysat for her grandkids in their younger years and taught them how to cook and bake; she was truly the best grandma. Mother-in-law, Louise Knoblock taught her to cook and she became a highly skilled baker; her zucchini bread was world renowned. Britt-Marie entered her recipe into a Taste of Home magazine contest and was selected as a winner. Her recipe was later published in a Taste of Home cookbook, and she was featured in the Rockford Register Star. While dealing with her own health challenges, she had her family cook loaves of bread to be distributed to the staff at the hospital. Britt-Marie also enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Britt-Marie was a member of First Free Church. She participated in Cornerstone Adult Sunday School at First Free.
