Bobbie Faye Slocum, 73, of Rockford passed away on December 9, 2015 in Rockford Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 18, 1942 in Phil Campbell, AL, daughter of Clyde and Roxie (Holt) Woodard. United in marriage to Duane Slocum on August 7, 1987. Survived by her husband, Duane; step-children, Penny (Dion) Conn, Rick Slocum, all of Waukesha, WI, Randy Slocum of Mukwonago, WI; grandchildren, Chassidy (Neal Ogden) Firman, Chad (Danyell) Firman all of Rockford; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Ogden and Gage Furman; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; siblings, James (Barb) Woodard of Winterhaven, FL, Mac (Donna) Woodard of Loves Park, Earline (Gary) Nelson of MS, Pauline Smith of Machesney Park and Betty (Harry) Klopp of Winterhaven, FL. Preceded in death by her parents; son, William Firman; brother, Eugene Woodard, sister-in-law, Barbara Woodard and brother-in-law, Ellsworth Smith. Cremation rites have been accorded.
