Billie Jean Clarke, 83, of Rockford went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 31, 2021. Born March 6, 1938 in Corning, AR; daughter of William and Marie Roberts. Graduate of Corning, AR High School. United in Marriage to John Clarke on April 12, 1953. Billie was formerly employed as the housekeeping supervisor at Howard Johnson Motor Lodge, she was also a homemaker. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and doing crafts. Billie was a "grandmother" to many of the children in her neighborhood. She loved the Lord with all her heart. Survived by children, Cynthia (Richard) Livingston, John (Lori) Clarke, Cathy Rasmussen, Michael (Melanie) Clarke, Theresa Bankes; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Billie) Roberts; special friends, Carol Cofield, Josie Robins, Pastor Dave (Theresa) Frederickson, Pastor Rodney Fitzgerald, Pastor Vaughn Fitzgerald; and a circle of other special friends. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Mark Clarke and grandson, Matthew Clarke. Visitation on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N. Main St. Rockford, followed by and funeral service at 9:45 a.m. followed by entombment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pastors Dave Frederickson, Rodney Fitzgerald and Vaughn Fitzgerald will officiate.
